New manager, new start? Everyone thinks that Sunderland will win in this week’s Roker Riches!

It would seem that Chris Coleman’s appointment as manager has our pundits believing that Sunderland can end their long winless streak when they visit Burton Albion tomorrow.

The Dafabet Roker Riches! What bets have you got on this week?
RokerReport.com

Well this is pretty much over as a contest now. Gav didn’t just win both bets but a high odds four fold came off for him and he doubled his money. That gives him the kind of table topping lead that you would associate with Celtic, as the rest of us now just battle for second place.

In fairness though, most of the gamblers registered a profit last week so I hope you listened to Walshie, Dan, Tom or Graham. They may have been modest winnings but every little helps.

Last week also saw the bankers bonus come in for the first time in a while, so the players all have a free £5 Championship accumulator to play with. Will they play it safe or go nuts in the hope of some risk free cash?

Here’s what we’re backing this week.

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Chris Coleman picks up his first win as Sunderland boss with a clean sheet, the banker will refund any losing Sunderland bets and give any winners their stakes as profit.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win & both teams to score, 5/1: I have a feeling about this weekend’s game. We have to win, and so do Burton, but they’re about as bad as us - at least we’ve got a new manager, which could give us the edge. We can’t defend for sh*t though, so I’m not expecting miracles. £5 returns £30.

Wolves, Villa, Shrewsbury & Luton Fourfold: I won big last week on my fourfold so I’m going for another today. I’m sticking by Shrewsbury and Luton too as they’ve got favourable fixtures, whilst Villa are taking on Ipswich and table-toppers Wolves are at home to resurgent Bolton. £10 returns £96.59.

Free £5 Championship acca: I’m going for both teams to score in the games between Hull & Bristol City, Middlesbrough & Derby and Reading & Sheffield Wednesday, plus wins for Fulham and Sheffield United. £5 returns £82.16.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Sunderland to win to nil: Not just a win, but a win and a clean sheet. That’s the kind of stupid enthusiasm Chris Coleman is giving me. £5 returns £18.75.

Chelsea & Burnley to win: Chelsea are great price considering Liverpool’s defensive problems and 5/1 for Burnley to beat Arsenal at home is very tempting, considering their form. £5 returns £105.

Free £5 Championship acca: Leeds, Aston Villa, Preston, Sheffield Wednesday & Sheffield United all to win. I feel confident about Villa and The Blades, the others could go either way but you never know. £5 returns £333.67.

Connor Bromley - @connorbromley

Sunderland to beat Burton: I am not messing about this weekend and I believe Sunderland won’t either. We will beat Burton. Coleman is the man. Sunderland will rise like a Phoenix. £10 returns £25.

Man Utd, Spurs and Watford all to win: Man Utd host Brighton this weekend who are looking pretty decent, but surely Mourinho’s side will dismantle them. Spurs are at home to managerless West Brom, whilst Newcastle are sliding and I fancy them to slip up again this weekend to Watford. £3 returns £15.44.

Free £5 Championship acca: I am going for wins - five home wins to be exact. Barnsley to beat Leeds in the Yorkshire derby, Fulham to beat Millwall, Norwich to beat Preston, Sheffield United to beat Birmingham and finally Wolves to beat Bolton. £5 returns £109.65.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Sunderland or draw: Surely we won’t lose this week? Burton are terrible. I really think we might win this week, but there’s always a chance of disappointment with our lot. £10 returns £14.

Manchester United, Spurs, Wolves and Celtic to win: I eventually won an accumulator last week with a relatively safe fourfold, so I’m going for another one at decent enough odds. Celtic have let me down every time I’ve bet on them this year though... £5 returns £12.78.

Free £5 Championship Acca: I am going for a BTTS score accumulator with games involving Leeds, Villa, ourselves, Hull and Norwich all to have goals for both teams. £5 returns £78.49.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Grabban to score anytime: He knows how to score and I hate betting on the lads. It’s the only logical bet now. £5.00 returns £13.

Carlisle, Wycombe & Blackburn all to win: Surely betting on the favourites will work out one day? £5 returns 23.80.

Free £5 Championship bet: I’ll go for wins for Villa, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Wolves and Sheffield United. £5 returns £68.07.

Tom - @Tommyakki

Sunderland to win and over 2.5 goals, 10/3: Haway the lads! £5 returns £21.67.

Sunderland, Fulham, Wolves, Villa and Sheffield United: This is a hopeful punt but I’m feeling confident! Free £5 bet returns £83.01.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Sunderland to win and BTTS: I have a sneaky feeling we might just win this weekend and I can’t for the life of me work out why. We’ll still concede though. £5 returns £30.

Nine-team acca: Sunderland, Wolves, Fulham, Sheffield Utd, Anderlecht, Spurs, Benfica, Juve, Ajax. Another week, another acca. Here are this week’s no-hopers. £5 returns £153.87.

Free Championship £5 bet: Sunderland, Villa, Wolves, Fulham, Sheffield United. £5 returns £84.90.

Walshie - @Walshie409

Sunderland to win by more 2 or more goals: We’re going to absolute batter Burton, Chrissy Coleman will be the new messiah and everything will be right with the world again. £5 wins £37.50.

Man Utd, Sheffield Utd and Man City to all win: This is a pretty safe bet, right? £3 wins £7.23.

Free Championship £5 bet: Aston Villa, Sunderland, Wolves, Sheffield United all to win because I’m feeling lucky. £5 wins £48.80.
