Progress & Week #24 Table

Whilst Rory was the only Roker Reporter to win a bet in week 23, Chris Sparks' run of awful luck continued.

Chris took Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Barcelona and Bayern Munich on his accumulator and going in to Sunday's games he was waiting for Manchester City to beat Everton which would have brought him a total of £498.87 - but, Pep's men couldn't get the job done and Chris was left without a big win once again.

This Week's Bonus Prize...

If Jermain Defoe scores at ANYTIME at the Hawthorns, the banker will give every pundit a free £5 bet for next week's edition of Roker Riches!

As per usual you can follow all of our tips from the Roker Report writers below, and be sure to take a look at Dafabet for yourself - check out all of their priceboosts for Sunderland's game against West Brom this coming weekend!

Writer's Picks For Gameweek #24

@ChrisSavedLatin

Well, I lost on my acca by one team again, costing me almost £500. What’s new? This week I’m going for two big bets again as I’m falling back into the red quickly.

I’m stupidly backing Sunderland half-time/full-time at 10/1, whilst also backing five teams to win.

Sunderland to win half-time/full-time - 10/1 - £10 returns £110

Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool & Newcastle to win - £25 returns £86.66

@RoryFallow

I can't bring myself to waste money on a positive Sunderland bet this weekend but at the same time, I can't totally bet against us. We've conceded a few from set pieces this season and we're not great at defending crosses, so it's hardly ideal that we're facing a centre half who likes getting on the score sheet. Gareth McAuley may have only found the net three times this season but that's still a good return for a defender and that's why he's a linchpin of my fantasy football team. Odds are 5/1 for McAuley to score anytime and I'll have £5 on it, with the hope it's West Brom's only goal in a 4-1 defeat.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, in form Everton travel to an out of sorts Crystal Palace, where Sam Allardyce will be looking for his first win as Eagles boss. I fancy The Toffees to edge a tight game, after their romping victory over Manchester City last week, so I'm taking advantage of Dafabet's price boost of Everton to win under 2.5 goals. A fiver on this has a potential return of £27.50, given odds of 9/2.

Gareth McAuley to score anytime - £5 - 5/1

Everton to beat Palace + under 2.5 goals - £5 - 9/1

@DGP202

I still can’t bring myself to bet against the Lads, no matter how pathetically they are playing. But I know for a fact we will concede away to free-scoring Baggies. And Defoe will probably score a consolation at some point. Probably the last goal in a 4-1 hammering. So I’ve pumped for a fiver on over 2.5 goals.

My acca this week follows the trend of all my previous accas – one that is fated to lose. I need all the following to win: Fenerbahce, the Mags, Sheff Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Benfica, Madrid, Barcelona, and Anderlecht. Again - not going to happen.

Stoke v SAFC over 2.5 goals - £5 - Evens

Tenfold accumulator - £6 - Returns £87.39

@SAFCSource

I was stung to the tune of £50 by the lads this week and I've lost faith in us getting any kind of result, our performances are just so flat that I can't bet on us to get a positive result but I can't bring myself to bet against us. That means I'm going to have a punt on Fabio Borini getting a late goal, which will probably be a consolation considering recent form.

Elsewhere, Diego Costa is likely to return to the Chelsea starting line-up to face Hull - after he was dropped following a training ground bust-up - and I am backing him to return in style.

Fabio Borini to score the last goal against WBA: 10/1 - £10

Diego Costa to score a hat-trick against Hull: 6/1 - £10

@Gav1879

We've got to win eventually, right?

Sunderland to win to nil has been priceboosted to 9/1, and I feel that if we are going to come away with three points it will be alongside a clean sheet - a proper unexpected, Sunderland-esque result.

Elsewhere I'm going for a treble of favourites - Doncaster, Sheffield United and Newcastle. I know I said a few weeks ago that I should never bet on the mags but at the same time, they're at home against the worst side in the Championship.

Sunderland to win to nil - 9/1 - £5

Doncaster, Sheff Utd & Newcastle to win - £100 - Returns £219.99

@DJRoberts22

My Sunderland bet this week will be £3 on a West Brom win. Betting against us is the best way to ensure I don't lose any money, and while the return is little, it's better than nothing.

My Acca for this week will be a Sheffield United, Doncaster, and Cambridge win in England, a Bursaspor win Turkey and finally, a Feyenoord win in Holland. A £5 bet will return £46.20.

West Brom to beat Sunderland -£3 - returns £5.10

Fivefold accumulator - £5 - returns £46.20
