Progress & Week #23 Table
Rory won both of his bets last week, which is unusual for any of us since we're so bad at betting. He made £77.84 profit which takes him back off the bottom of the table, replaced by Chris Sparks - a position that he's most familiar with.
This Week's Bonus Prize...
If Sunderland can beat Stoke City this weekend, the banker will give every pundit a free £5 bet for next week's edition of Roker Riches!

Writer's Picks For Gameweek #23
@ChrisSavedLatin
Well after one short week I am back in the red - damn. I have a good feeling about this week for some reason, and I’m going to go big with my bets.
Adnan Januzaj has been mentioned a lot in the press this week and I wouldn't be shocked to see him on the scoresheet when we take on Stoke City - I’m going to back him at 4/1 to score anytime, with £15 returning £75.
Elsewhere I’m going for an optimistic accumulator that actually has a decent chance of coming off (I hope!) - I’m backing Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in a seven-fold, with £34.56 returning £498.87.
Adnan Januzaj to score at anytime: £15 - 4/1
Sevenfold accumulator: £34.56 returns £498.87
@RoryFallow
Two wins for me last week! Two bloody wins! That's taken me from the brink of bankruptcy to a pretty healthy balance. Time to keep that run going.
I doubt I'll be the only one who takes up Dafabet's price boost of Sunderland to win with both teams to score. Despite their inconsistencies, Stoke have only failed to score on four occasions this season, so I reckon they'll breach our defence at least once. At the same time though, the Potters aren't that robust at the back and Defoe and co. should get some joy. So I'll have £5 on this, at 13/2 which has an overall potential return of £37.50.
Speaking of teams that concede loads of goals - Bournemouth travel to Hull this weekend. Eddie Howe's men are performing admirably in the league but a goal difference of -5 tells you where their inadequacies lie. As for Hull, well, they're bottom and have shipped 44 goals this season. So the match at The KCOM has all the makings of a high scoring game, so a bet revolving around there being over 2.5 goals isn't a bad shout. I'll take a bit of a risk and go for it to end in a draw too, which has canny odds at 10/1. I'm laying down another fiver and praying for goals.
Sunderland v Stoke BTTS: £5 - 13/2
Hull v Bournemouth draw: £5 - 10/1

I seem to be saying this a lot but this weekend's game is beyond massive. It is our most important game of the season. A win would keep our run of home form going too. With that in mind, I'm backing our main man to get us that all-important first goal. Please Jermain, please.
My acca this week is all over Europe. I've gone for another ridiculous thirteen team bet: Wycombe, PSV, Nice, Fenerbahce, Benfica, Porto, West Ham, Arsenal, Madrid, Atleti, Barca, Spurs, and the Lads all to win.
Jermain Defoe to score first: £6 - 9/2
Thirteen team accumulator: £4 returns £701.65

As usual it's a must-win game this week as we face Stoke at the Stadium of Light. Stoke's form has been very erratic recently, so it's hard to predict exactly what we'll be up against. For that reason I am going to keep it simple this week, we're 2/1 to win at home to Stoke and that's a good opportunity to double my bet.
Elsewhere, I'm betting on Swansea/Arsenal to be a high scoring affair. Swansea have been conceding an awful lot of goals and should be put to the sword by Arsenal but the visitors have also look a little suspect defensively recently.
Sunderland to win: £50 - 2/1
Swansea/Arsenal to be over 4.5 goals: £10 - 3/1
@Gav1879
I echo Andy's thoughts - Sunderland and Stoke are both too erratic so with this in mind I'm going to keep this bet very simple. Sunderland to win at 2/1 seems very kind when you consider our recent home form, so I'm going to place £20 on that.
My second bet is going to be an accumulator. If one of my five teams loses, Dafabet will refund my bet! Bolton, Portsmouth, Dundee United, Clyde and Brighton all to win returns a decent wedge if it comes in.
Sunderland to beat Stoke: £20 - 2/1
Five-team accumulator: £10 returns £104.99
@DJRoberts22
My Sunderland bet this week is a tricky one. I don't actually have an idea on how the game will pan out, but if we're going to score, it'll be through Defoe. So making the most of the weekly price boost of Jermain to score first, I'll place £3 on that, which will see me return £16.50.
My acca this week will be Leeds to beat Derby tonight, Heerenveen to pick up a win against Den Haag, Carlisle and Portsmouth to pick up three points in League two and finally Bolton to defeat Swindon. A £5 bet will see me return £59.64.
Jermain Defoe to score first: £3 returns £16.50
Acca: Leeds, Heerenveen, Carlisle, Portsmouth & Bolton all to win: £5 returns £59.64
