Steven Naismith looks like he will be arriving at Sunderland before the end of the transfer window with reports suggesting that a fee of around £4m has been agreed with Norwich.
Naismith has struggled for form since his £8m January move from Norwich but was an important part of Everton's side under both David Moyes and Roberto Martinez, notably scoring a perfect hat-trick after coming on as a substitute in the first half of last season as Everton beat Chelsea 3-1.
Although hardly an inspiring signing, with Jeremain Lens departing on loan to Fenerbahce and Fabio Borini suffering with a groin injury - rumours suggest that he could be out for up to three months - Naismith will be able to cover all the positions across the front line, including providing some extra cover for Jermain Defoe up front when needed.
Naismith could yet be joined by Norwich teammate John Ruddy, as Sunderland are in talks to bring the goalkeeper to the Stadium of Light as well, you can read Ruddy's scout report HERE.
