Ndong Flies In

Didier Ndong has arrived on Wearside to complete his move to Sunderland.

David Moyes is on the verge of breaking the club transfer record after Didier Ndong arrived in the North East to undergo a medical and complete his move to Sunderland.

It was reported that Moyes moved quickly onto Ndong after a deal for Ryan Mason fell through after the Tottenham midfielder opted to join Hull City. Sunderland had scouts watching the midfielder against Bastia recently, only for Ndong to be sent off after 30 minutes - he will miss one game for Sunderland should he sign, as he finishes the suspension he picked up for that red card - but impressed enough for the club to push through a move for the midfielder.

The 22-year-old will have to complete his medical before the move can be confirmed but with the fee reported to be around the £15m mark - with add-ons - it will be a new record transfer fee.
