COMPETITION: Play On The Pitch At The Stadium Of Light

Win the opportunity of a lifetime — to play a game of football on the pitch at Sunderland's Stadium of Light.

The kind folks at Dafabet have organised for a lucky handful of Sunderland fans to experience the humbling joy of playing football inside our beloved Stadium of Light. You have the chance to run around on the same pitch that has hosted so many unforgettable moments and so much history since the stadium's opening in 1997.

Who could forget Kevin Phillips's goal against Chelsea, or Carlos Edwards's strike from the banks of the River Wear? What about Wahbi Khazri's goal last season? Here is a chance to forge your own moment, and to make your own history.

The 11-a-side match, which will take place at 12.30pm on Friday 3 June, will see writers of the fanzine A Love Supreme and the blog Roker Report face off in a friendly but competitive fixture that is sure to fulfill several boyhood, and girlhood, dreams. We can't do it on our own though — we need a group of passionate, skilled supporters to finish off our teams and join us in this unique opportunity.

It doesn't matter if you're male or female, but you must be able to kick a football around. We writer types have very high standards, so if you aren't at least as good as Jozy Altidore then please don't pretend that you're the next Gary Rowell.

To be in with a chance of playing, all you need to do is answer the following question:

Who is your favourite ever Sunderland player and why?

Tweet us your answer and make sure you tag @Dafabet, @RokerReport and @ALS_Fanzine.

We will let you know as soon as we can whether you have been successful.

Both A Love Supreme and Roker Report are delighted to be teaming up with Dafabet for this competition, and we look forward to reading your entries.
