Watford 2-2 Sunderland: Player Ratings

It's a game that we should have won but didn't because of poor officiating - it's a good job it counts for nothing. Anyways, read our ratings and vote for your man of the match in the poll at the bottom!

Jordan Pickford - 7

Fairly steady game from the youngster, who couldn't have done alot about the two Watford goals. His distribution is so much better than what we are used to. One for the future and likely to get plenty of opportunities in the first team next season.

Tom Robson - 7

Solid. Did not look out of place at all and got forward when he could. Impressive.

Lamine Kone - 7

Outstanding last ditch tackle on Deeney when he was almost certain to score at 2-2. What a signing he has been.

John O'Shea - 2

Dreadful. Pulled all over by Ighalo in the first half, easily beaten for Watford's first then gave away a penalty.

DeAndre Yedlin - 6

Done nothing wrong before being withdrawn due to injury. Will be interesting to see if Big Sam hangs onto him.

Jack Rodwell - 7

Played well and scored a goal. Certainly a performance that gives Sam something to think about going into next season.

Sebastian Larsson - 6

Pretty quiet performance from the Swede on what is almost certainly his last ever game in a Sunderland shirt. Thanks for everything, Seb.

Jeremain Lens - 8

Took his goal well, set up another and was a threat all afternoon. Clearly talented, but has he got the workrate to be an important player under Allardyce? I guess we'll see. Doubt he's happy being a reserve here and it showed in his goal 'celebration'.

Duncan Watmore - 8

Thought he was great. Played the pass for our second, had a goal wrongly chalked off for offside and worked very hard as he always does.

Rees Greenwood - 6

Fairly quiet. Won us a few corners and played a lovely pass to Watmore on the break for Lens' goal. Not a bad debut.

Dame N'Doye - 7

Probably his best game for us playing as the lone striker. Much like Watmore he had a goal wrongly chalked off for offside.

Yann M'Vila - 7

Impressive contribution whilst he was on the pitch. Made one massive interception towards the game that just oozed pure quality. Really hope we sign him.

Billy Jones - 6

Didn't have much to do.

George Honeyman - 6

Like Jones he didn't contribute a great deal.

Man Of The Match: Jeremain Lens

The lad is clearly very talented, but his application is obviously lacking, otherwise Sam Allardyce would have used him more this season. If he leaves in the summer it will be a shame, because today wasn't the first time I've been impressed with him. Still, he was very good today and wasted very little.
