Obviously with us being Sunderland fans we followed up a very successful week with an awful one - after all of us won something in week twelve, we all lost all of our bets in week thirteen.
Can we get back to winning ways?
Rory is still well clear at the top of the table, but a big win for one of Gav or Brian could see them jump to the top of the table. Poor Andy is back down to a quid.

Sunderland can't seem to win a game 1-0, Leicester are only winning games 1-0 at the moment. It would be foolish for me to back a 1-0 Sunderland win, wouldn't it? But, hey, I'm the lad who correctly predicated England to beat the World Champions, so I don't care what anyone thinks is foolish. Bet Victor are offering 9/1 for a 1-0 Sunderland win and I'll have £5 on it.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, I'm going for a treble involving some of the leagues strugglers. Bournemouth should beat Villa given the form of the two sides and the same can be said for Southampton against Newcastle. Factoring in Crystal Palace vs Norwich makes it a bit more tricky so I'll put a draw down for that. A Bournemouth win, a Saints win and a Palace/Norwich draw gives odds of 11.93/1 with Betfair and I'll place a tentative £3 on it (potential return of £35.79).
Picks:
Sunderland to win 1-0: 9/1 - £5
Bournemouth win, a Saints win and a Palace/Norwich draw: 11/93/1 - £3

We may be playing the leaders of the Premier League but this may end up being an easier team to play against than West Brom due to Leicester being unlikely to park the bus. With that being said, I am going to predict to be optimistic and predict a bit of an upset as we break our drawing streak and pick up all three points. So Sunderland to win and Jermain Defoe to score at any time in a double.
This is a big game at the bottom of League One and both sides have had an upturn in form of late with Blackpool picking up 10 points from the last four games and Colchester seven from their last three. It promises to be a close game but you can get 7/2 for both teams to score and Blackpool to win and that seems like too good a bet to turn down.
Picks:
Sunderland to win/Jermain Defoe to be an anytime goalscorer: 9/1 - £5
Blackpool to win and both teams to score: 7/2 - £5

West Ham did me over last week so staying clear of the domestic market this week. I've gone for a European 4 Fold this week. In Spain I fancy Villarreal to see of a struggling Getafe(1/2). Over in Germany Hertha to dump on Hanover(1/2). While in France PSG have generous odds of 21/20 to pick up an away win at mid table Guingamp. St Etienne are 2/7 to beat struggling Troyes at home.
If we play 3 DMs against WBA we're going to do it against Leicester though I think this time it much more warranted. I think we'll get a draw too.
Picks:
Four Fold: Villarreal, Hertha Berlin, PSG & St Etienne all to win: 4.93/1 - £15 stake returns £88.96
Sunderland Vs Leicester City draw: 5/2 - £5 stake returns £17.50

Both teams to score in our game with Leicester is evens with Paddypower, and although Leicester are pretty tight at the back I fancy us to sneak at least one. I may aswell stick a tenner on that.
Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid are evens away at Espanyol, whilst Juventus are evens away at AC Milan. That's a pretty decent double, so I'm putting another tenner on that with Betway. I need a winner this week... please?!
Picks:
BTTS in the Sunderland v Leicester match: Evens - £10
Juventus & Atletico Madrid double: 4/1 - £10

I'm going to be bold with my Sunderland bet this week and actually predict us to pick up another clean sheet against Leicester. Crazy, I know, but with a return of £35 from a £10 bet, why not?
My second bet will be... an acca. Shocked? The first punt will be Wigan to beat Coventry. The latter are out of form and the Latics are in hot form. The second, also from League One, is a Bradford home win against Swindon.
Moving to, surprisingly, the Premier League, I'll bet on Southampton to beat the Mags, Man City to defeat West Brom and Crystal Palace to win or draw against Norwich.
Picks:
Sunderland to keep a clean sheet: £10 - 5/2
Wigan, Bradford, Southampton, Man City to win and Palace to win or draw: £10 - 5.9/1
