The Roker Roundup: Wednesday 24th February 2016

Here's what is shaping your SAFC world tonight - it's the Roker Roundup!

Gooch's Doncaster Stay Extended

Lynden Gooch joined League One outfit Doncaster Rovers in January on loan, playing and impressing on a number of occasions, and today is has been revealed that the American will spend the rest of the current season at the South Yorkshire outfit having extended the loan agreement between the two clubs.

Since arriving Gooch has made five appearances for Darren Ferguson's team, playing in a variety of positions across the attack. Gooch is equally adept using both feet, which means he's played not only up front but out wide thus far during his brief loan spell.

Mali International Soumaoro On Allardyce's Radar

The Evening Chronicle are alleging that Sunderland have been closely scouting Lille defender Adama Soumaoro.

Soumaoro can play both as a central defender and right back and is thought to be one of a number of players playing in France that Sunderland have looked at recently. Sam made good use of his close links in the January window in signing Wahbi Khazri and Lamine Kone and, should we stay up, he's expected to use similar tactics in order to boost his squad further.

Carroll, Reid and Kouyate All Available For West Ham Game

Whilst Andy Carroll and Winston Reid have made full recoveries from injury in order to become available for selection ahead of this weekend's game against West Ham United, influential midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate has seen the red card that he picked up in the FA Cup against Blackburn Rovers rescinded.

It was hoped that Kouyate would miss the game due to the red that he received on Sunday but, after a successful appeal, the player will now be able to take part on Saturday.
