Jordan Pickford - 8

Absolutely outstanding again. Made a superb save just minutes into the game and made plenty more afterwards to keep his side ahead. He is so good - if we sell him in January I will have an emotional breakdown.

Patrick Van Aanholt - 8

Was a constant threat and Watford just couldn't handle him when he got forward. Took his goal well - he is such an eloquent and natural finisher for a defender.

Papy Djilobodji - 9 (Gav's Man Of The Match)

He's improving game on game. Marshalled Deeney and Ighalo brilliantly and was my pick of the bunch. I really hope nobody from the Senegal team has been watching him, because on current form he could well be off to the cup of nations in a few weeks.

Lamine Kone - 7

Decent performance from Kone - it's mental that he's not standing out as much because of Djilobodji. Did his job, though, and was a huge part of why we got a clean sheet.

Donald Love - 8

I thought he was tremendous. Deserves to keep his place in the side on Boxing Day when we face his former club at Old Trafford. Got forward when he could, distributed the ball well and was tough in the tackle. He seems to be settling in now.

Didier Ndong - 7

He was a ten off the ball and a zero on it - I wish he could pass. He presses the ball fantastically though and our midfield is far better with him in it - he's going to be a miss in January.

Jason Denayer - 7

Much improved, I thought. Hopefully the Swansea and Chelsea performances were just a blip.

Adnan Januzaj - 7

Was terrible in the first half but came out after the break a completely different player and everything seemed to go through him. Was brought off in the 80th minute in order to allow Moyes to shore up our defensive shape, but a decent showing nonetheless.

Fabio Borini - 6

Pretty quiet. Didn't do anything wrong really - just an average performance. Was good that he got nearly a full game, the minutes will have done his fitness wonders.

Victor Anichebe - 8

We really missed him on Wednesday, and showed today why he's quickly becoming one of our most important players. He gave the Watford defence a torrid time.

Jermain Defoe - 7

Didn't really have any notable chances but got the assist for the goal and worked hard. Seemed to enjoy linking up with Januzaj in the second half.

John O'Shea - 6

Came on so that we could see out the victory and he kept us organised.

Sebastian Larsson - 5

Wasn't on long enough to influence the game.

Wahbi Khazri - 5

Same as above.
