Jordan Pickford - 9
Christ, where would we be without this lad? Pickford made so many fantastic saves in a seemingly endless stream of Bournemouth corners. Distribution is still phenomenal too.
Billy Jones - 7
Solid enough. Linked up well with Defoe and Anichebe for Watmore's disallowed goal.
Lamine Kone - 6
He's still missing something, still seems lethargic and sloppy at times. Could've easily given Bournemouth a second goal when he was dispossessed by King. On the whole he was alright, though.
Papy Djilobodji - 7
I can imagine he'll end up being quite an underrated performer, so I'll make an effort to point out that Papy played an important role in our resilient defence. He made a good number of last ditch tackles to keep us in it in the second half, best of any of the defenders on show today.
Patrick van Aanholt - 7
Solid defensive duties and sprayed some good passes around.
Steven Pienaar - 4
Pretty much everyone thought he cost us the game when he got sent off. He'll breathe a huge sigh of relief.
Paddy McNair - 7
Steered the ship.
Dider NDong - 7
More-or-less the same as McNair.
Duncan Watmore - 7
Had the ball in the net and did a lot of running as per. Needs to start looking up a bit more often, though.
Victor Anichebe - 9 (Man of the Match)
Big Vic gets Man of the Match for me on his first start. His passing was superb and knew how to best use his physical presence - as exemplified with his goal. Won us the penalty too. An all-round great game for him.
Jermain Defoe - 8
Set up Anichebe for his goal and converted the penalty. Business as usual for the veteran striker.
Jason Denayer (for McNair) - 8
Really helped to shore up the defence, made an immediate impact to the back line.
Donald Love (for Watmore) - 5
No real time to make an impact.
Lynden Gooch (Defoe) - 5
See above.
