Roker Riches: Week #15 - Big Winners; Can Anyone Pull Away This Weekend?

"We're in the money..."

Last week's internationals saw us have a number of big winners amongst the group - Andy raked in £90 with his free ten pound bet thanks to Ireland's 1-0 win over Austria, whilst Dan Parker and Danny Roberts also did well.

This week, we're mixing it up again.

If Sunderland win against Hull, each writer will get a risk-free £5 acca bet for next weekend to go alongside their usual picks.

Week #14 Table:

Pundit Last Week's Profit/Loss Current Balance
@Gav1879 - £10 £78.29
@RoryFallow - £10 £25.25
@SAFCSource + £75 £130.50
@DGP202 + £58.55 £161.27
@ChrisSavedLatin - £2.50 £25.75
@DJRoberts22 + £41.25 £72.22

I'm getting quite sick of this losing every bet I put on malarkey, so I'm going hard or I'm going home! I'm putting £20 on Sunderland to win at 23/20, returning £43.00.

Elsewhere, I'm backing the favourites with Leicester, Man City, Liverpool, Derby and Newcastle needing to win to return £150.93 from £5.75. Here's hoping or I'm bust!

Picks:

Sunderland to win: 23/20 - £20

Leicester, Man City, Liverpool, Derby & Newcastle all to win: £5.75 returns £150.93

@DJRoberts22

I don't know how to call our game against Hull, but Dafabet's price boost of 15/2 for a Sunderland 1-0 win has tempted me, and I'll place £3 on that.

My second bet will be Bristol Rovers to pick up a win against MK Dons at home, Wimbledon to beat Bury at home, Sheffield United to also get three points against Shrewsbury and finally Walsall to beat Gillingham.

Picks:

Sunderland to win 1-0: £3 - 15/2

Bristol Rovers, Wimbledon, Sheffield United and Walsall all to win: £5 - 13.52/1

@Gav1879

Because my £10 free bet last week was placed on Harry Kane to score for England, it was voided due to him not actually getting on the pitch against Scotland, meaning that I can re-place it on something else. Nice.

I'm going to put my free tenner on a double - Manchester City to score first against Crystal Palace (4/9) and Everton to beat Swansea (6/10). That returns £23.11.

For my proper bet I'm going to stick to my guns and back Sunderland to win again. Us to win 1-0 has been boosted to 15/2 with Dafabet and I think that seems sensible, considering that Hull have a lack of striking options and will likely come and sit very deep. Jordan Pickford is due a clean sheet!

Picks:

£10 FREE BET - Manchester City to score first & Everton to beat Swansea double: returns £23.11

Sunderland to win 1-0: 15/2 - £10

While most of the lads are celebrating their bank balances being bolstered, it was another losing week for me during the international break.

I backed a Sunderland win a couple of weeks ago and I'm doing it again. With a price boost of 3/1, Sunderland to be winning at half time and also at full time is catching my eye. If we score first it'll calm a lot of nerves and hopefully the attacking fluidity we saw at Bournemouth is displayed against Hull. I'm putting £5 on this and hopefully we're out of sight by half time so I can spend my winnings on half times pints for everyone. And by "everyone" I mean as much as £20 will buy me. And by that, I mean about five pints.

The early kick off on Saturday is arguably the Premier League's biggest game of the weekend, Manchester United vs. Arsenal. With Mourinho looking out of sorts, this could be where Arsene Wenger finally gets the better of him in the league. Both teams concede a high amount of goals, considering their league position at least, so it's a both teams to score bet for me here. Dafabet have good odds on all three BTTS options but I'll show five pounds worth of faith in Arsenal at 9/2, which will return £27.50.

Picks:

Sunderland HT/FT: 3/1 - £5

Arsenal and BTTS9/2 - £5

@SAFCSource

We actually won a game last time out and thanks to that hard fought win at Bournemouth we should come into another vital match with a degree of confidence for a change. Hull also picked up a big win last week as they overcame Southampton at home, that was after a run of five straight defeats but since then they have lost Will Keane to a long-term knee injury and are expected to be without Abel Hernandez for around a month after he suffered a groin injury. Due to those injuries and Adama Diomande's suspension, it leaves Dieumerci Mbokani as Hull's only available senior striker, that should mean our best chance for a clean sheet that we've had for ages and if that happens I'd expect us to come away with all three points.

The early Premier League kick off on Saturday sees Arsenal visit Manchester United. Although both teams have been unpredictable this season, Arsenal have been in the better form, with the Red Devils only winning one of their last five - which was last time out, at Swansea. There should be goals in this fixture but I think Arsenal will come away from Old Trafford with all three points.

Picks:

Sunderland to win to nil: 9/4 - £10

Arsenal to win and both teams to score: 9/2 - £10

@DGP202

I believe in Harvey Dent. And I believe in Sunderland. Dafabet have tickled my fancy with a price boost on Sunderland to be winning at half-time and full-time. If we can start the game this weekend like we ended the game against Bournemouth two weeks ago, we could set ourselves up for a crucial win. Please don’t let me down, Sunderland.

I will not cease with these accas. This week I’ve plumped for a ten-fold that includes Sunderland so is immediately bust. I’ve gone for the Lads to win over the weekend, alongside Everton, PSG, Barca, Sporting Lisbon, Valencia, Juve, Stoke, Spurs, and Chelsea.

Picks:

Sunderland half-time/full-time: 3/1 - £5

Ten-fold accumulator: £4 returns £168.31
