Jordan Pickford - 4
His distribution in the first half was ok but nearly gifted Ozil a goal by racing off his line. Must be cursing the back four in front of him, how can he do his job when his defence is as woeful as that?
Billy Jones - 2
I have no idea what position he was playing but it was not right back. Khazri played there in the first half, no-one in the second. Unbelievable.
John O'Shea - 2
Is going to give penalties away if he keeps wrestling attackers. It's a sad reflection on the Club that we still rely so heavily on him.
Lamine Kone - 2
At fault for the first goal and obviously doesn't have the leadership qualities or presence to inspire those around him. Needs a massive kick up the backside at least. Would be dropped in a proper team.
Patrick van Aanholt - 1
Anonymous in the first half. Struggled to replicate that form in the second.
Jack Rodwell - 4
A better performance but still doesn't take responsibility for anything but his own mediocre performance.
Didier Ndong - 4
Always starts by putting a shift in without achieving anything before fading into the background. He was still visible in the second half, which is a step in the right direction and his long ball forward set Watmore free for the penalty.
Duncan Watmore - 4
Doesn't have an end product and spent even less time on the ball today than usual as you would expect against a side with an organised defence. Created the penalty but that was it.
Steven Pienaar - 4
Too slow against a team of Arsenal's quality. One or two nice touches but is never going to be a game changer these days. Again, so disappointing that we're relying on players like this after ten years in the Premier League.
Wahbi Khazri - 4
Tries to be a flair player but final pass is never good enough. Not the right player for a team like ours at the moment where he has to play himself out of trouble every time he gets the ball. At least he gets forward when he can, but needs better players around him, or a system that suits his style.
Jermain Defoe - 5
Hardly saw the ball in the first half, took the penalty well, man of the match as he was pretty much the only player who did what was asked of him today. Man of the Match.
Papy Djilobodji - 1
Is part of the problem rather than the solution. May be a footballer one day, probably long after he's left us.
Adnan Januzaj - 2
No time to make a difference other than kick Coquelin in the face which led to their third goal. Does that make him an 'impact sub'?
Lynden Gooch - 4
I would play at right back instead of Jones. I'd play Stephen Hawking at right back instead of Jones.
