Yann M’Vila In January?

Ever fond of his Instagram account, Yann M’Vila has added a fresh-twist to the saga of whether he will ever return to Sunderland.

Asked by a fan if he hoped for a homecoming back to the Stadium of Light, M’Vila said "if God wants to my friend".

The summer saga of whether the Frenchman would sign permanently for Sunderland following his successful loan spell last season was played out on social media. It was as far back as the 20th July when M’Vila posted "I want Sunderland, not another club, the choice is Sunderland". And, on deadline day the 26-year old described himself as "heartbroken" that a deal had not been agreed with his current club Rubin Kazan.

The player has since returned to training in Russia but has only played six minutes of first team football in the Russian Premier League plus forty-two minutes as a substitute in a cup game.

There was even talk last month of M'Vila being open to fresh contract negotiations with Kazan. Sunderland had maintained that they had some sort of agreement with the Frenchman for the first option of any future transfer dealings, but what form this is in remains something of a mystery.

However, it now looks most likely that Yann M'Vila will indeed leave Rubin Kazan in December when his contract ends. Some Russian sources seem to be certain of that and have been speculating as to where his most likely destination may be, with Inter Milan mooted as well as Sunderland of course.

French newspaper, L'Equipe, pondered the stalled career of M'Vila a couple of weeks ago and suggested a return to France may be just what he needs with former club Rennes touted as a worthy destination.

This latest social media posting may just add fuel to the fire he is heading back here, again. One thing is sure, he will never be as wanted as he is by Sunderland fans.

We're just not sure we can go through it all again.

Adnan Januzaj - 'Getting There'

Meanwhile, over on twitter, Adnan Januzaj has posted a video of his road back to fitness from an ankle injury. The 21-year old Belgian was originally not expected to return until early November, but footage of him doing step-ups with the dodgy ankle supporting his weight may hint at a sooner return.
