Arsenal v Sunderland: Confirmed Line-ups

Sunderland need a point. Who are the lads who are going chasing it?

Dick Advocaat named an attacking line-up for the trip to Arsenal, with Adam Johnson handed a first start since his club suspension earlier in the season.

Johnson appears to be coming into central midfield for Liam Bridcutt, who is injured, with Jordi Gomez also out. Jack Rodwell is fit again - or as fit as Jack Rodwell gets - but he only made it as far as the bench.

Billy Jones was available despite hobbling off against Leicester, and Advocaat kept faith with the same three-pronged attack of Connor Wickham, Jermain Defoe and Danny Graham.

Sunderland 4-3-3: Costel Pantilimon, Billy Jones, Patrick van Aanholt, John O'Shea (c), Sebastian Coates, Lee Cattermole, Seb Larsson, Adam Johnson, Danny Graham, Jermain Defoe, Connor Wickham.

Subs: Vito Mannone, Jack Rodwell, Steven Fletcher, Anthony Reveillere, Emanuele Giaccherini, Santiago Vergini, Will Buckley.

Arsenal: David Ospina, Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud.

Subs: Wojciech Szczesny, Gabriel Paulista, Nacho Monreal, Francis Coquelin, Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott.
