Report: Defoe Sunderland Stunner Stuffs Newcastle

FIVE IN A ROW

Sunderland beat Newcastle United to make it five derby wins in a row thanks to a brilliant Jermain Defoe volley on the brink of half time.

You'll pretty much all be drunk, want to start getting drunk, or get on with getting even more drunk, so let's not prattle on here. Here is the important stuff:

Sunderland won 1-0 and were miles better than Newcastle. Hungrier, quicker, stronger. The better chances fell to Sunderland, In fact, Newcastle only had one shot on target all game, while Sunderland could afford to be wasteful.

The goal, when it came, was special. Really special. Steven Fletcher got his head to a Costel Pantilimon hoof and Defoe waited for it to drop before walloping it into the top corner with his weaker foot.

The stadium went crazy, Defoe was almost in tears. In an era packed full of incredible Sunderland derby goals, it was the best - by far.

Anyway. Go get drunk.
