SAFC Launch Official YouTube Channel

Sunderland AFC have launched a YouTube channel in a bid to provide fans with a more comprehensive video content offering, while attracting even more support from all corners of the globe. It's expected the new channel will complement the club's free-to-air SAFSee digital channel currently available on their official website SAFC.com.

Sunderland AFC has announced the launch of an official YouTube channel, located online at www.youtube.com/sunderlandafc.

The new channel will showcase exclusive video content from the club, including behind-the-scenes features, player interviews and images from the archives.

This free service kicks off ahead of the opening home game of the 2014-15 Premier League campaign against Manchester United this Sunday.

As well as the video content on offer, fans who sign up will also get the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.

Sunderland AFC’s commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: "The launch of the YouTube channel is the next step for us as we look to grow and develop our digital estate. It will complement our existing video service and will help to bring Sunderland to a whole new audience."

Meanwhile, YouTube Strategic Partner Manager, Tomos Grace, added: "Over one hundred UK football clubs run official channels on YouTube. Sunderland is a large and passionately supported club and we're very happy to welcome them to the platform."
