Sunderland had high hopes for David Moberg Karlsson when the youngster signed from IFK Gothenburg last summer but despite impressing during pre-season last year the Swede has struggled to make an impression on the Sunderland first team.
With reports that the club were willing to offload the winger backed up by his lack of action in this summer's pre-season preparations, as the 20-year-old has not even been featuring for the development squad, it appears as if the Swede is set for a move to Danish side Nordsjaelland.
According to reports in Sweden, Moberg Karlsson is set to join the Danish Superliga side on a permanent basis in the coming days. No transfer fee is mentioned for a player who cost Sunderland £1.5m but it seems unlikely that we will receive all of our money back.
