FRIENDLIES UPDATE! Same Time, Same Place (ish), But No More Benfica

Sunderland's clash with Portuguese giants Benfica has been replaced in the Black Cats' preseason schedule with a friendly against their Primera Liga rivals C.D. Nacional.

The change of opposition, which is due to "circumstances beyond Sunderland's control" will not affect either the date, with it still taking place on 30th July at 8pm local time. The venue has been changed to the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira, however, the same as the other two games on the tour.

Fans traveling to Portugal will be able to buy tickets for all three fixtures for a special price of €40, whilst individual match prices will be set at €15. It's worth keeping an eye on the safc.com for information on how to buy with further information to be released "in due course".
