He only joined in the January transfer window but Nacho Scocco may already be set to leave the club.
According to his agent, Fabio Soldini, Scocco would like to return to Argentina after failing to settle in England but understands that Sunderland would only consider a permanent transfer which complicates any potential deal;
He wants to return to Argentina, but it's hard.
Soldini then confirmed that Boca Juniors, amongst others, had expressed interest in the player but had been told that if they wish to acquire his services then they will need to buy him;
There was a survey, like so many with other teams.
But you can only get him if you buy him. Whoever wants him will have to do so.
Scocco signed a two-and-a-half-year contract in January when he arrived from Internacional for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £3m. After being out of favour and nursing an injury during the Brazilian side's pre-season, the one-time Argentine international was clearly short of fitness during his brief appearances with his only notable involvement was when he linked up with Emanuele Giaccherini for Connor Wickham's equaliser during the 2-2 draw at Manchester City.
Gus Poyet was hoping to see him fit and firing during Sunderland's pre-season but should any club match Sunderland's asking price, he may now not get that chance.
