Sunderland took a massive step towards survival with a 4-0 demolition of Cardiff City at the Stadium of light. Connor Wickham bagged a brace with Italian duo Emanuele Giaccherini and Fabio Borini nabbing one each.
The red card and penalty on the stroke of half time was the crucial point in the game, without question, but from the moment Wickham opened the scoring this one was as routine as it gets. In fact, it was Sunderland's biggest home win since the 4-0 pounding of Stoke City under Steve Bruce in September 2011!
