Hull City beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 in their FA Cup fifth round replay last night courtesy of goals from Curtis Davies and Robert Koren to set up a clash with Sunderland in the FA Cup quarter final.

The tie will take place one week after the Capital One Cup final on Sunday 9 March at 1.30pm and will be broadcast live on ITV1.

Season card holders have until 5:00pm today (Tuesday 25th February 2014) to apply for tickets, either in person at the Stadium of Light ticket office or online at

Subject to availability, a general sale of tickets will commence from 9:00am on Tuesday 4th March 2014.

Adults £20

Over 65s/16-22s £15

Under 16s £5

Under 10s £1.

The fixture will be a chance for Gus Poyet to get revenge on Steve Bruce after the ex-Sunderland manager won both games between the clubs in the league this season, 1-0 at the KC Stadium after Lee Cattermole and Andrea Dossena were sent off in the first half and 2-0 at the Stadium of Light after Wes Brown was sent off after 5 minutes. Which makes it three consecutive games against Hull City where we have had a man sent off in the first half, after Alan Hutton was sent off in the 1-0 win at Hull during the 2009/10 season, with the only Hull player sent off in those games being Jozy Altidore, who is now on our books.

Sunderland and Hull have met on three previous occasions in the FA Cup, with Sunderland winning all three, 6-2 at home in 1920, 2-0 at Hull in 1933 and our last FA Cup meeting was a 1-0 win at Roker Park in 1976.

The winners of the tie will progress to the FA Cup semi final which will take place at Wembley on April 12 and 13.
