Newcastle United Vs Sunderland: Confirmed Lineups

The teams are in, and Gus Poyet has opted to hand a debut to a new signing while two key men miss out.

Gus Poyet brings his golden boy Liam Bridcutt in for a start in central midfield with Lee CAttermole once again missing with a knock.

The rest of the team is pretty much as expected with Phil Bardsley starting having shaken off a knock sustained against Stoke.

In attack, Jozy Altidore holds onto his place, but no Steven Fletcher in the squad today with new signing Nacho Scocco taking a spot on the bench.

Alan Pardew is also forced into changes with Loic Remy suspended and Yohan's Cabaye (departed) and Gouffran (injured) unavailable.

In the absence of the above a pair of Ameobi's start in the form of Shola and Sammy, with Hatem Ben Arfa also providing support for the brothers.

New signing Luuk De Jong is on the bench for the home side.
