Player Ratings: Liverpool 0-0 Sunderland

Who was hot and who was not in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool?

Costel Pantilimon - 7

Dependable and authoritative. It's becoming the Romanian's norm.

Santiago Vergini - 6

Not the adorable Argentine's most adorable performance, but adorably adorable nonetheless.

John O'Shea - 8

Continued his fine form of late, seemingly getting his head first to just about everything.

Wes Brown - 8

Outstanding on his return to the side.

Anthony Reveillere - 6

Looked a little vulnerable for the first time in a Sunderland shirt, but still fairly decent in fairness.

Liam Bridcutt - 9

Brilliant. Man of the match.

Seb Larsson - 8

Did really well again with his tireless working and growing range of passing. Has developed into a central midfield player of real substance.

Jordi Gomez - 7

Had a few very good twenty minute spells, had a couple of pretty bad ones. Kind of what he does, I think.

Adam Johnson - 7

A bit similar to Gomez really. Looked likely to create something, but never did.

Connor Wickham - 7

Should have had a penalty early on and worked his socks off.

Jozy Altidore - 7

Put in one hell of a shift and held the ball up pretty well in often tough circumstances.

Ricky Alvarez (Sub) - 6

Showed a bit of quality again. Probably time he was starting games now.

Lee Cattermole (Sub) - 6

Looked a little lost at times in a slightly different role, but a lovely player to be able to throw on.

Will Buckley (Sub) - 5

Didn't do a great deal, but didn't have much opportunity either.

Man Of The Match: Liam Bridcutt

Really starting to show his Premier League credentials now. The former Chelsea man was always involved and had a real influence on the game.
