Emanuele Giaccherini misses out on a place on the substitutes bench after recovering from injury.

Alan Pardew makes two changes from their last outing in the Premier League, a 4-1 defeat at Arsenal, as Jak Alnwick continues in goal for Newcastle after recovering from his fictitious injury picked up in the League Cup defeat to Tottenham. Steven Taylor and Moussa Sissoko come in for Mike Williamson and Papiss Cisse.
