Sunderland Echo

Gus Poyet says Sunderland have "one or two" injury worries ahead of the clash with Manchester City.

However, he declined to elaborate on exactly which players are facing a race against time to be fit to face the champions.

French defender Anthony Reveilllere is open to talks over a new deal at the Stadium of Light should a contract extension be offered.

Reveillere has settled in well and is enjoying life at the Stadium of Light, but says he hasn’t thought that far ahead yet whilst trying to make the most of each game.

Chronicle

Wes Brown hailed Lee Cattermole as one of the very best defensive midfielders he’s come across throughout his entire career.

The centre-back has also challenged his team-mates to replicate the level of performance put on against Chelsea when meeting Manchester City on Wednesday evening.
