Sunderland Striker Leaves For Championship

Danny Graham's Sunderland nightmare is over, at least for now.

Sunderland striker Danny Graham has ended his - and our - torment by leaving Wearside to join Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan.

The former Swansea City man, a disastrous £5million purchase by Martin O'Neill, will link-up with Wolves initially until the end of the year, though The Sunderland Echo reports that deal could easily be extended, or even made permanent, in the new year should things go well.

There isn't really much left to be said about Graham's Sunderland career that hasn't been done a dozen times over, but I'm sure most will wish him well enough. I'm not quite sure what happened to him here, as he was a very passable Premier League striker at Swansea, but it was just a bad mix from the start.

If Graham has indeed left the club for good, he does so without ever scoring a goal for it.
