Sunderland's deadline day business looks to be all but done with the news that Craig Gardner is unlikely to move to WBA.
The midfielder had looked set to move to the Midlands club as a late deal, but reports now suggest that won't happen. It follows the news that Lee Cattermole will stay at Sunderland too, despite a fee being agreed with Stoke earlier in the day.
Sunderland and Stoke are apparently at loggerheads over the Cattermole situation, with the Potters claiming they were not informed that it had been pulled. Either way, It's good news that he will be helping us try and stay up rather than a rival.
One Sunderland player (sort of) who does like a little more likely to get a move (kinda) is Danny Graham. He is already out on loan to Hull, but Steve Bruce wants to basically sublet him to Middlesbrough. That sounds like fun.
Anyway, for all intents and purposes, it seems our January business is over.
