According to A Bola, Sunderland are considering a move for Vitoria de Guimaraes striker Tomané before the end of the transfer window. Vitoria are the only Primeira Liga side yet to be active in the January transfer window but that could change if Sunderland follow up their interest in Tomané.
The 21-year-old striker only established himself in the Vitoria side this season, scoring five goals in sixteen games in all competitions, and spent last season in the Segunda Liga with Vitoria 'B', where he played 32 games and scored 3 goals, with his performances enough to see him promoted to the senior side.
Should Sunderland push through a move for the Portuguese under-21 international, it's likely he will initially play in the development squad, particularly with the club recently missing out on the signing of Swedish youth striker Valmir Berisha to Roma.
