Internacional Director Gives Scocco Update

Roberto Melo admits that the Argentine club have now received offers from Europe.

The Nacho Scocco transfer saga is still rumbling on, with his agent's planned meeting with Internacional being postponed until Monday.

That has not stopped the Brazilian club's Director, Roberto Melo, giving an update on where things stand with the Argentine international striker. First up, he reiterated that Internacional want to recoup the money they invested in him, so want a permanent transfer;

We will not loan Scocco. We want a final sale, to recover the amount we invested.

But it appears that the club have finally received offers for the player from Europe but Melo was reluctant to discuss which clubs have made those offers;

We already have proposals from European clubs. I will not tell you which clubs, but we already have.

The player is still expected to leave Internacional, with Europe his likely destination and Sunderland still in the running for his signature but his former club Newell's Old Boys have also declared their interest in the striker and Cardiff City were also reportedly showing interest in the 28-year-old.
