Sessegnon A Target For Premier League Side

This morning's Birmingham Mail reports that Stephane Sessegnon is a target for West Bromwich Albion, with the line coming via the very well respected and well connected Chris Lepkowski.

The paper reports that they'd be very interested, although a price tag of £5m might put them off as it would break their record transfer fee which was paid to Reading for Shane Long.

If Sessegnon went to West Brom, a team who have struggled at the start of the season along with us, it would be seen by many fans as a huge blow. Many are disappointed that he looks likely to leave to anywhere, but to a team we should be competing with it would be even more of a loss.

Reports in Doha this morning insisted a move to Qatari side El Jaish was still on and should be completed soon, but with West Brom entering the race things could become a little more clouded.

Either way, it's unlikely Sessegnon will be pulling on a Sunderland shirt ever again.
