Crystal Palace Vs Sunderland: Confirmed Lineups

The team sheets are in for this evening's clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Who's in, who's out? It's all here...

Robert Cianflone

Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio dropped somewhat of a bombshell with his team selection this evening with Jozy Altidore not only failing to make the starting eleven, but not even available from the bench! Surely a late injury must have scuppered the American's opportunity.

Di Canio also opted to go with an interesting midfield selection of David Vaughan and Sebastian Larsson, leaving Cabral on the bench, which will make for an interesting afternoon's viewing as the Welshman failed to impress midweek in the Capital One Cup while Sebastian Larsson looked a little better having entered the fray from the bench.

The Italian obviously still has faith in his Korean forward, Ji Dong-Won who endured a torrid evening against MK Dons but starts this afternoon, partnering his replacement that evening, Connor Wickham

Sunderland (4-4-2): Keiren Westwood; Ondrej Celutska, John O'Shea (c), Modibo Diakite, Jack Colback; Adam Johnson, David Vaughan, Sebastian Larsson, Emanuele Giaccherini; Ji Dong-Won, Connor Wickham

Substitutes: Vito Mannone, Cabral, David Moberg-Karlsson, Carlos Cuellar, Valentin Roberge, Charis Mavrias

Meanwhile Ian Holloway opts to leave a certain Kevin Phillips on his bench this afternoon, elected to go with a forward line of Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh, although you can bet your bottom dollar the former Sunderland man makes an appearance at some stage. Lets hope he doesn't come back to haunt us!

Crystal Palace (4-4-2): Julian Speroni; Joel Ward, Danny Gabbidon, Damien Delaney, Dean Moxey; Kagisho Dikgacoi, Mile Jedinak, Jose Campana, Jason Puncheon; Dwight Gayle, Marouane Chamakh

Substitutes: Neil Alexander, Peter Ramage, Stuart O'Keefe, Jonathan Williams, Stephen Dobbie, Aaron Wilbraham, Kevin Phillips.
