Jordan Laidler Leaves On Loan

We forgot to mention it to be honest, but it's worth reporting anyway. One for the completists.

Young striker Jordan Laidler should get some valuable playing time as he's moved out on loan to Chester.

The striker joins on an initial month long deal and has already played his first game for the club, starting in a role behind the main striker in a 3-1 defeat to Kidderminister Harriers.

Laidler seems to have the size and strength to perhaps play at a higher level, and seems to have already earned the trust of Paolo Di Canio having been on the bench for games towards the end of last season, although he failed to make an appearance.

It's a nice turn around for a player who suffered a rocky start to his life at Sunderland, but he does seem to have matured both mentally and physically since those days.

In other Sunderland youngster news, Jordan Pickford has returned from loan at Burton Albion having picked up a knock and will recieve treatment on Wearside. It isn't expected to keep him out for much more than a few weeks.

It's also worth noting that this information is quite out of date, and for that we apologise. Some however may have missed it, and now they've no excuse.
