The Barclays Asia Trophy 2013 kick's off today in a miniature tournament in Hong Kong, which sees Sunderland take on fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, before taking on either Manchester City or South China later in the week in either the Final or the 3rd/4th Playoff.
It will be a first glimpse of many of Sunderland's new signings this summer, and an early chance to run the rule over the likes of Cabral, Jozy Altidore, Valentin Roberge, El Hadji Ba, David Moberg Karlsson and of course Emanuele Giaccherini.
We're also likely to lineup against former transfer target and loanee Danny Rose as it's been once again reiterated by Andre Villas-Boas that he won't be leaving the North London side, who are without Gareth Bale for this game on account of injury, and in no way at all signing for Real Madrid. No siree.
If you're stuck at work, we'll have you covered for this one though. Be sure to check back later for the confirmed lineups, as well as a match report and player ratings provided by various members of the Roker Report Team, plus of course we'll be tweeting the action live on our Twitter feed @RokerReport.
