Sunderland defender Phil Bardsley, who was left out of the clubs current training camp in Italy, will also miss out on the Barclays Asia Trophy according to the Premier League.
Bardsley, who recently admitted he wants to move and may have something lined up in that department soon, will not feature in Paolo Di Canio's 25-man squad for the tournament, despite others linked with a move being included.
James McClean, David Vaughan and notably Danny Graham are included, as are new signings Cabral, Modibo Diakite, David Moberg Karlsson, Valentin Roberge, Vito Mannone, El-Hadji Ba and Jozy Altidore.
Ji Dong-Won also makes the trip despite interest from Germany in the midfielder-come-striker.
The squad which is currently named, and due to fly out later this week does not include Emanuele Giaccherini who still awaits clearance nor Gino Peruzzi or Charalampos Mavrias who are both set to complete their moves to the Stadium Of Light this week.
Should all three sign before the club fly out this weekend, it's likely the trio of McClean, Vaughan and Graham will all be dropped, although these deals can take a little more time than anticipated.
Sunderland take on Tottenham Hotspur on July 24th, before taking on either Manchester City or South China on July 27th.
