Simon Mignolet - 6
For once, he wasn't required to be the savior. Solid enough after some early jitters and took a booking for the team following Seb Larsson's moment of madness.
Jack Colback - 8
Our Jack of all trades let no one down at right back. Very steady against the Toffee's big threat.
Danny Rose - 8
He was just doing what we now simply know as 'that Danny Rose thing'. An outstanding performance.
John O'Shea - 7
Everton's threat came down the sides, not through the middle, so he was never likely to be able to shine as much as the full backs. Did what was required with consummate aplomb, though.
Carlos Cuellar - 7
See John O'Shea
Adam Johnson - 6
Not the influence of last week but still had one or two moments of real quality on the ball. Probably should have put the game to bed.
Seb Larsson - 8
Mental back pass aside, he was a really positive influence on the game. In fact at times he looked the dominant midfield player on the pitch.
Alfred N'Diaye - 9
The midfield powerhouse just keeps getting better and better. He stood toe-to-toe with the imposing Fellaini and was never once found wanting. Starting to look like an absolute snip.
James McClean - 6
Up against a very good full back so no crime in his general lack of product on the ball. Colossal contribution and work rate without it though.
Stephane Sessegnon - 8
Excellent again, and once again noticeable how he has simplified his game down under Di Canio. The Benin man is just taking the ball to the net now, with great results.
Danny Graham - 6
Missed a big early chance but once again put in a tremendous shift to endear himself to the home crowd.
David Vaughan - 6
Couldn't replicate the fireworks of last week but I think we can forgive him!
Kadar Mangane - 5
It's just nice to know we didn't imagine him. Token substitution.
Man Of The Match - Alfred N'Diaye
Simply magnificent in the centre of the midfield. He had the physical presence to impose himself on Fellaini but also the quality to make it count for something other than a pat on the back.
