Sunderland's trip to Aston Villa, originally scheduled for Saturday the 27th April with a 3pm kick off has now been moved for the Sky Sports cameras, and will take place two days later on Monday the 29th April, with an 8pm kick off.
Clearly smelling some relegation blood - as you really wouldn't have this down as one for the purists - the move makes sense from Sky's perspective, but it's a bit of a pisser for fans who had hoped to travel down to Birmingham for the weekend.
It could end up being a crucial clash in a battle to avoid the drop, but we have a decent record at Villa park in recent years where Phil Bardsley popped up with a winner, and notably Michael Chopra scored in what was also a crunch relegation clash.
Sunderland will be announcing full ticket details for the rearranged clash in due course. Best you check their website rather than this one.
