Gus Poyet has made four changes from the side that drew 0-0 with Norwich, two of them enforced. Wes Brown is suspended, and John O'Shea is injured, which means Valentin Roberge and Modibo Diakite come in to start together for the first time since the 3-1 defeat at home to Arsenal. Elsewhere Jack Colback replaces Giaccherini, while Fletcher comes in from Altidore. As for what formation we'll line up in, that's anyone's guess.
Sunderland (4-4-2): Vito Mannone; Ondrej Celustka, Valentin Roberge, Modbio Diakite, Phil Bardsley; Seb Larsson, Lee Cattermole, Ki-Sung-Yeung, Jack Colback; Fabio Borini, Steven Fletcher
Substitutes: Jordan Pickford, Andrea Dossena, Cabral, El Hadji Ba, Adam Johnson, Emanuele Giaccherini, Jozy Altidore.
Meanwhile Roberto Martinez makes one change from the side that beat Swansea, with Ross Barkley, the man who scored the winner in that game, dropping to the bench for Leon Osman.
Everton (4-3-3): Tim Howard, Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka, Sylvain Distin, Bryan Oviedo; Gareth Barry, James McCarthy, Leon Osman; Kevin Mirallas, Stephen Pienaar, Romelu Lukaku.
