Wise Men Say Podcast Episode 8: Shanchester United

It's yet another tasty podcast for you all, as we discuss Liverpool, Man United and the manager situation... again!

Matthew Lewis

Apologies about the title of the podcast this week. I asked Gareth to hastily offer me one and this is the result. Was better than anything I could think of in the spare two minutes I had anyway.

Chris Young from the Sunderland Echo finally dropped in to make his Wise Men Say debut and was joined by former Wearside Roar editor, ALS and Legion of Light contributor, Tom Lynn.

You always know there's plenty to discuss on SAFC matters when the conversations flow before the mics go on and also after they go off. In the case of Tom and I, it continued right through until he dropped me off at my doorstep. And that's normally a sign that things aren't going according to plan.

We had no issues with gremlins in the studio this week. None. Absolutely zero. It's a very odd scenario is that, and I'm waiting for some sort of unlucky incident to manifest itself and even things out for me. Probably happen around Saturday Teatime.

We went over the team selection and tactical set up presented by Bally and further discussed whether we feel he's the right man for the job. If not he, then who? Who can confidently answer that question?

ESPN journalist Mark Lomas came on the phone to give us insight from a Man Yow perspective and highlighted that Vidic and Fellaini could be weak links. That's encouraging! Set Larsson on them, I say.
