Gus Poyet's Sunderland will feel that they have a chance of progressing this season's Capital One Cup after they were potentially handed yet another home tie, should they triumph over Southampton next week.
The club will face a tough task getting over the surprise package of the season Southampton, but if they can get through this then a tough but winnable game against Chelsea awaits in the Quarter Finals.
Now obviously they're a much better side than Sunderland, but with a large and vociferous home crowd, and Chelsea likely to put out a 'B' team as they did at Arsenal this midweek, Sunderland should fancy their chances.
The games will be played in the week commencing December 16th, if we've any interest in the competition then.
