Young defender Blair Adams will remain on loan at Coventry City for a little bit longer after his loan deal was extended by the midlands club through to and including January 16th.
It's very probable that Adams will remain on loan beyond that since his route to the first team at the Stadium Of Light seems to be very much blocked at the moment with Danny Rose, Jack Colback and any number of other possibilities seemingly more in favour for Martin O'Neill at left-back.
Adams is another, much like Billy Knott as we mentioned yesterday, that faces a bit of a career crossroads. Having seen Adams a few times on loan and on England duty when he was an England Under-20 international he has looked impressive and looks to have the physicality to play at a high standard.
Whether or not that standard is the Premier League or not will only come if he's given a chance, although that seems incredibly unlikely any time soon, especially with is contract expiring at the end of the season.
Adams has played nine games on loan at the Sky Blues, and will now be eligible for their Johnston's Paint Trophy semi-final against Preston North End.
