According to reports out of Turkey this evening everything is nearing a conclusion with regards to the transfer of Alfred N'Diaye to Sunderland, with the player apparently flying out for talks tonight after the clubs inched closer to a possible €4.7m deal. That's £3.8m in real money to you and me.
A Bursaspor spokesperson told Medyaspor today;
Sunderland have made an offer for N'Diaye. We signed N'Diaye as a promising young talent, he has developed rapidly and we know he's destined for greatness. There is the price we want, then there is the price they want to pay . We are still in talks, there is no deal in place yet, nothing has been signed, we want € 4.7m for him.
N'Diaye has made it clear he wishes to play in the Premier League.
Some outlets seem to also be reporting that N'Diaye is already on his way to Wearside this evening to finalize a deal, although we're yet to find anything particularly strong on that front. Either way, it looks to be edging closer to an agreement though.
Several Bursaspor players, including young central defender Taha Can Velioglu, have taken to social networks to wish N'Diaye all the best for the future.
It would be a huge surprise now if this deal didn't go through. Hopefully it goes through in time for Saturday's game with West Ham United, and should it all be completed before Thursday there's every chance he'll be plunged straight into action against the Hammers.
