Martin O'Neill has named an unchanged first XI from the side that beat Wigan 3-2 last time out. As expected new loanee Kader Mangane isn't match fit, so starts on the bench today. Elmohammady joins him in a move which will surely brighten the day of all Sunderland fans.

Substitutes: Keiren Westwood, Phil Bardsley, Matt Kilgallon, Connor Wickham, Kader Mangane, James McClean, Ahmed Elmohammady

Meanwhile Michael Laudrup has made three changes from the side that made it to the Capital One cup final against Chelsea.
