the transfer of Roland Juhasz looked very much set in stone earlier in the week, but now it appears he's headed to Turkey with Trabzonspor - according to reports out of both Belgium and Hungary.
According to pretty much every newspaper in Belgium at the moment the defender has agreed a two and a half year contract with Tranzonspor, and although the club and Anderlecht are yet to agree a fee for his services, it looks like merely a formality.
It was reported earlier only yesterday on this side of the Channel that Juhasz would be the next in, however we ourselves remained skeptical due to the regurgitated articles which merely quoted that Juhasz was favouring a move to Western Europe.
It was also continually insisted from the Sunderland side that nothing was particularly concrete with Juhasz, although we know O'Neill keeps his cards close to his chest as much as possible when it comes to transfers anyway.
With irons now in the fire as we look to move for Kader Mangane, it's clear that Martin O'Neill is on the hunt for a central defender. Titus Bramble and Matt Kilgallon are both out of contract at the end of the season, and John O'Shea and Carlos Cuellar ain't getting any younger/better.
For now though, we can pretty much chalk Juhasz off the list of wants, as all eyes turn to the Middle East and Mangane. After things going a little quiet it appears that Roland Juhasz is off to Turkey with Trabzonspor.
