Join us for The Week That Was, our weekly round up of everything we did, plus all the buildup to today's game against Swansea.

After 'fab Friday', this week was always set to be somewhat more restrained. Martin O'Neill has once more been busy in the transfer market - recruiting Danny Rose and shipping out Kieran Richardson - but other than that Sunderland have had a quiet seven days.

No matter though, as we've still had plenty to sink our teeth into. Amidst all of yesterday's deadline day hype, let us not forget there's a trip to Swansea at hand this afternoon.

  • Preview: First off, as ever, we have a preview of our trip to Wales this weekend. With a look at the teams, the referee and even the last meeting between us and the swans, it's a veritable treasure trove of prematch info - CLICK HERE
  • Podcast: See, this week, I really wanted to be on the podcast. We've signed Adam Johnson and Steven Fletcher, it's been fun, and I wanted to wax lyrical. Unfortunately I have no say in such things, so join Simon Walsh, Michael Graham and David Boyle as they revelled in last week's dealings - CLICK HERE
  • Fan Focus: Of course, no prematch buildup would be complete without a look at things from the other side. We caught up with Swansea blogger Chris Carra for the inside scoop on Michael Laudrup's men - CLICK HERE
  • Roker Riches: Now firmly re-introduced to the Roker Report fold, our weekly betting column sees five of us try and win a bit of money. Tip: never bet on the same things I do, I'm hopeless - CLICK HERE

That's the 'Swansea-specific' stuff, but we also had plenty more on the site for your reading pleasure...

With no game last weekend due to the weather, we had no Talking Tactics to publish. But, no matter, Michael Graham was on hand with a Captain's Blog, telling us all how the weekend's downpour had resulted in a missed opportunity for a buoyant side.

Next up, still high on the fumes of the Adam Johnson deal, Simon Walsh gave us an in-depth comparison between our latest signing and star man Stephane Sessegnon, looking at each's statistics from last season.

Thankfully after Saturday's postponement, we didn't have too long to wait. Tuesday evening's tie with Morecambe was as professional a display as we could have hoped for, where the League Two outfit were dispensed of comfortably. How nice it is to have a manager who takes the cup competitions seriously.

Elsewhere, in amongst a chunk of news, David Boyle gave his own little tribute to the signing of Adam Johnson - by picking Sunderland's top ten modern day wingers.

Finally, we had a book review. Contrary to popular belief, we here at Roker Report can actually read and I took it upon myself to ponder BackPage Press' newest publication - Football Manager Stole My Life.

Join us after the game for a full match report from the Liberty Stadium, and tomorrow we'll have our latest column for The Durham Times, The Gossip and Quick Kicks in which we give even more reaction to today's big game.
