And what a week it was, by the way! Not one, but two new additions of genuine quality, and all the waiting has proven more-than worth it. With just one week remaining in the transfer window, Sunderland look ready to encounter the Premier League season.
There may be some slight tinkering to do yet; Kieran Richardson's future is yet to be resolved and we have a striker or two that could do with regular game time but, by and large, our squad looks pretty decent. With that in mind, and a momentous Friday behind us, let's look forward to today's game.
