Five Sunderland games have been selected by Sky Sports and ESPN to be shown live in the first round of televised fixtures released this morning by the broadcasting giants.

Sunderland's first appearance in front of a national audience of the season will be the home game with Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side, still on September 15th, but now with a 5:30pm kick off.

We next appear on TV on October the 6th as we travel to the Etihad to take on the current champions, Manchester City with a 12:45 kick off, broadcast by Sky Sports, as are the rest of the fixtures listed.

Our next Premier League fixture following that, and arguably one of the biggest of the season -the Wear-Tyne Derby against Newcastle United is now on Sunday 21st October with a 1:30pm kick off time. So still plenty of time to have a few drinks prior to settle the nerves.

Our televised fixtures continue with a trip to Fulham's Craven Cottage, which has been moved a day later than previously scheduled to November 18th with a 4:00pm kick off time.

The run of games in the first section of TV fixtures released ends with the home game with West Bromwich Albion, which has been moved to November 25th with a 1:30pm kick off.

There's no word as yet as to whether this will effect the home game with Queens Park Rangers, originally scheduled for November 27th.
