In what's probably going to be a daily series of Steven Fletcher updates, his agent Scott Fisher has weighed in on any proposed transfer.
Yesterday Wolves Chief Executive, Jez Moxey, claimed that Fletcher isn't for sale. Or rather intimated that any bid for Fletcher would have to be upped, but it appears Fletcher and his people could be headed for some 'showdown' talks with Moxey in an effort to force a transfer through.

When asked by Sky T&W about whether the Scottish international would be moving to the Stadium Of Light, Fisher responded in a very positive manner;
Why not? We've always carefully managed where Steven goes next and I think that Martin O'Neill would get the best out of him.
So it seems this one could rumble on for a little longer yet, but it's at least encouraging that from Fletcher's side, they're very keen on making a move as soon as possible. It's just the small - or maybe large - matter of the fee to be agreed between the two clubs.
Fletcher recently sat out Wolves' friendly win against Walsall despite there not being any injury reasons, fueling fire that he could be headed out of Molineux.
