Ji Dong-Won appeared as a late substitute for South Korea as they beat Lebanon 3-0 in a World Cup Qualifier earlier today in Goyang.
Ji came on as a 79th minute substitute for Kim Jung-Woo, and played a part in the Taeguk Warriors third goal, scored eventually by fellow substitute Koo Ja-Cheol. Ji picked the ball up out wide and crossed dangerously into the area, where as Lebanon failed to clear their lines, Ja-Cheol smashed home to put the cap on a convincing performance.
The result keeps Korea in good stead to qualify for the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil, as they now top Group A in the Asian qualifying section with six points.
The appearance was Ji's second substitute for the Koreans in four days, as he also appeared earlier in the week as they beat Qatar 4-1 at the same stadium. That wraps up Korea's games for the summer, meaning Ji will now get a well earned break ahead of returning to preseason training in July.
Later in the week, aside from those at Euro 2012, Stephane Sessegnon will lineup for Benin against Ethiopia and Ahmed Elmohamady will be in line to face the Central African Republic for Egypt.
