It's been announced that Sunderland will take on Championship side Derby County, where Ryan Noble had a loan spell earlier this season, in a friendly at their Pride Park stadium on August 8th, with a 7:45pm kick off.
Derby County boss, Nigel Clough had this to say of us;
Sunderland's squad contains plenty of international players such as Sebastian Larsson, John O'Shea and James McClean - who are likely to play some part in the European Championships this summer for Sweden and the Republic of Ireland. It'll be great for our fans to see them in action, while it will also be good for our players to test themselves against Premier League players.
The game is the third confirmed game of the summer for us, as we travel to South Korea in late July for the 2012 Peace Cup, where we will play two from FC Groningen, Hamburg and Seongnam. Expect more games to be confirmed in the coming weeks, with strong rumours we're headed to the Emerald Isle for the Dublin Super Cup.
Tickets for the game with Derby County are priced at £10 for Adults and £5 for Concessions if you're a Season Card holder next season, otherwise it's £12 for Adults and £6 for everyone else.
